The prolific residential developer is on track with two further projects, as it begins work on 350 apartments in Greengate, Salford, and prepares for a committee meeting at the end of June where Manchester City Council will consider its proposals for 1,400 flats in Castlefield.
On completion Exchange Court will have 300 apartments
The 130m glazed tower, designed by OMI Architects, includes a 16-storey brick and aluminium-clad lower elevation.
Exchange Court is Renaker’s second project in the Greengate development area on the border of Manchester and Salford, with the developer also delivering 497 apartments at One Greengate, which is due to complete at the end of this year. Ask Real Estate is on site with its duo of Embankment offices, and in partnership with Select Property Group has planning permission for 600 flats in a 32-storey tower.
In Castlefield, under the name CQ Investments, Renaker submitted a planning application in March for four residential towers of between 38 and 64 storeys. providing more than 1,400 flats.
Manchester City Council has allocated its planning committee meeting on 30 June to discuss the plans, which are expected to be approved.
The buildings on the former site of the Owen Street car park are 37, 44, 50, and 62 storeys each.
The apartments will be supported by a three-storey amenity building, which will include facilities for residents such as an indoor tennis court, swimming pool and spa, gymnasium, studios, cinema screen, rooftop café bar with terrace and private garden, entertaining and home office and business facilities.
Renaker has been on site for the past month with archaeological excavations, in order to begin construction as soon as planning permission is granted.
Designs for the Owen Street project by SimpsonHaugh & Partners were put on show at a consultation event held in January. Deloitte is the planner.
